Saving My Content
With the end of the school year approaching I wanted to remind you all that you have to save anything you have added to My Content found under the Gallery Tab in SMART Notebook to a secure file location before the computers are reimaged. I suggest you create a folder on your H drive called My Content and store all the items you have saved there. To save your personal gallery files do the following:
1. Open My Computer, select your H drive, create a folder on your H drive called My Content, close My Computer
2. Open SMART Notebook, click on the Gallery Tab
3. Click once on My Content so it is highlighted
4. Select the drop down arrow next to My Content and choose Export as Collection File
5. The Save As window will open, browse to you H Drive click Open
6. Browse to the folder you created My Content and select Open
7. Name your file, for example My Content 2010-11
8. Click Save
1. Open My Computer, select your H drive, create a folder on your H drive called My Content, close My Computer

To retrieve these files in the fall simply open up the folder on your H drive and double click on the icon marked SMART gallery collection, all your files will be put back in your My Content folder in SMART Notebook. Remember, My Content is accessable by machine meaning if you log onto another computer your files will not follow you. That is why I highly recommend always saving anything you gather in My Content in another secure file location.

Math and Science Teachers
Today I am sharing a great site out of the UK for all teachers of Math and Science skool.co.uk The information on the homepage of this site says it all: skoool.co.uk is an Intel® driven initiative that brings you highly innovative, interactive and exciting learning resources via cutting edge technologies and devices. I am sure you have found the flash videos, located in the Gallery in SMART Notebook, from this wonderful site useful. Sometimes a visual explanation of a particular concept is very beneficial when presenting new material. I know for me personally you could tell me something but if you show me then I am more apt to understand what you are trying to teach me. The site it cataloged by Key Stages, which is a term that is used in education in Great Britain. Click around the site and I am sure you will find useful videos for your lessons. ~Diane
