Big News for secondary math teachers! SMARTtech is planning for math-specific support designed for middle and high school math teachers. SMART Notebook math will be integrated with SMART Technologies’ award-winning SMART Notebook software. It will give you an enhanced set of tools that will allow you to create and explore math concepts, all within the same application. You can sign up and SMART will let you know when the BETA program is available to try at home.

I have been traveling to all the elementary schools these last few weeks and have had the pleasure of meeting with so many of you. The work I see being done out there with the SMART Board is unbelievable! I have added a few new sites to our SMART Sites library. This list of interactive sites to use with your SMART Board was compiled by the Sachem School District. While most of these sites are geared towards elementary level; I noticed that the the science sites are more for secondary students.

Welcome to my blog! I created this in the hopes that we can all ask questions, share ideas, lessons, internet sites and tips and tricks on SMART Board and Notebook software. I am getting the ball rolling with just a few internet sites that have lessons available for downloading on a variety of subjects. Two of the sites SMART Exchange and Teqsmart require you to sign up in order to access their database of lessons. Both of these sites are free to join and I encourage you to create an account with each one. I have also included a site that has wonderful image and sound additions for your Gallery.
